I know I haven't blogged in a while (almost a month!). Rick and I have both been under the weather. He is recovering for the flu. I'm also on flu-preventative, no small pharmacy/medical bill. He loves to check his temperature with our new ear thermometer. Before the flu, I had some allergy illness... happens every year but the weather has been especially unforgiving lately. Before that I had pink eye! Gross! Again with a very high pharmacy/medical bill. UG!
Speaking of the flu, we had to postpone Valentine's Day :( (And FYI, one box of girl scout cookies does not constitute a V-day gift! hehe! Nice try!)
In between all of that, we joined a cult. :) Not really a cult but it will be a 'lifestyle' change. We have become members of a very prominent group of real estate investors. If you want to be a certain kind of person, it's best to surround yourself with that kind of person... But we are learning how not to be 'mom-n-poppers' in this business. It is a business, not a charity. But if you help enough people get what they want, you will get everything you want... and we want a lot! hehe!
Work has been crazy for both Rick and myself. Rick's company is re-organizing (scary) and mine is finally getting back on its feet (pay-wise) but through a lot of work. So... I must get back to it!

Big Daddy's 80th birthday party
Well, It's finally over and I'm still recuperating. I'm talking about Big Daddy's 80th birthday party. Man, it was a lot of work for such a short party (time-wise) Here are the pictures:

I still think I have pink eye. I'm going to the doctor today. I can't stand eyes. Looking at them, touching them, seeing pictures of them. I don't know what I'll do if he tries to put drops in my eyes. The last time my mom attempted that, it took 4 boys to hold me down while she sat on my chest and held my eyes opened to put drops in them. I still have nightmares from that. Thanks Mom...

Back to Business
Wow, the Christmas holidays were really busy for me... as you can tell by the lack of posts. I made a website of all of our family Christmas events in case you are interested:

Also, I've been constantly working on my grandfather's surprise 80th birthday party which is in 2 weeks. (Pictures to follow).
Then there's the company I am trying to start. Small, very small company for now which will buy and manage investment properties. It's more for tax purposes and organization. I'm a fanatic about organization. It really bugs me that there are boxes in the house (mostly Rick's stuff) and I don't even know what's in them. Just a hodge-podge of papers, pictures, computer gadgets...all piled into plastic bins. It itches my skin when I think about it. (Tangent)
As usual, I've put our house remodel on the back burner. I'm back to work this morning and I fear I've enjoyed the past two weeks of vacation much more than I should have...
