Zoe's 'new' Halloween costume...

So Halloween is my favorite day of the year. I just love dressing up! There is nothing like a good costume, scary or not, and there were a ton of them at the festival we took Zoe to on Halloween night in downtown. The sidewalks weer lined with all kinds of booths from Mad Scientiests, scarry-oke singing, pet adoption agencies, cosmetics, caricatures, raffles... you name it. There was even a small dog park that we let Zoe play in. Then we met up with some of our friends and their dogs who also brought friends and their dog. I was busy greeting all of the dogs and humans when suddenly my baby girl, Zoe, got attacked by another dog. It was the dog of a friend of a friend. The men were able to pull them away before too much damage was done but Rick could tell that Zoe was hurt. He shined his phone on her nose and we sall blood everywhere! YOU KNOW HOW I AM WITH BLOOD!!! And in an all-cream outfit... ug! So we left and took her immediatly to the emergency vet, a place Rick knows all too well from the days of Kendra. During the four hour wait, we reminisced about all the times Kendra had been there. Keeping positive, we did get to watch some pretty scary Halloween movies while we waited... and waited... and waited. Finally we got to see the doctor who said she would need to be sedated and have stitches. I think there are four stitches but I really can't tell as it looks to be a Tara Reed botched plastic surgery job (minus the plastic unless you count the stitching string)
Anyway, she moped around the house all weekend really milking the 'poor pitiful me... treat, please' perspective. And everyone says it hurt me more than it did her. I know that's true... hince all the extra treats! But if you have to get a really scary, bloody, gory, scar across your face, there really is no better day of the year to do so! Happy Halloween, Zoe!
