Disney World

We have just returned from our summer family vacation to Disney World! We finally got to take Isabella there and she loved it! Her dad and sister, Rani, also went along with Uncle Paul, dad, Rick, and myself. Doesn't Isabella make the most beautiful 'Belle' ?! We got to be copilots on in the front car of the Monorail, we chased Disney characters around, watched movies like the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, enjoyed a day at one of Disney's water parks, played a slew of video games, and even celebrated my 30th birthday at an awesome Irish Pub in Downtown Disney called Raglan Road which came equipped with an Irish band and folk dancer! The star of the band?! Isabella, with her 'Walk like an Egyptian' routine!

Uncle Paul's 93rd birthday party

Today we celebrated Uncle Paul's 93rd birthday party here in Florida. All of his friends came to visit and eat wonderful food. Some of us even swam in the sparkling pool. A good time was had by all, especially Uncle Paul who said he felt like a king! The bauer family also made him a scrapbook that he really enjoyed. He said he has never had anything that special! I got some really special video footage of him looking at it and reading the text that we all wrote. (I will try to upload them soon)
PS. sure glad mom could make it... hehe

Rock-a-by-Baby

In this video, Maverick is swinging his 'baby sissy' and singing to her. I'm telling you, he's a doll face!

Maverick can count!

Watch this video... it is so cute! He has brought all of his cars into the living room where his baby sister, Gwendolynn, is swinging.

Rani's Orchestra Recital

Two weeks ago, I was privileged enough to attend my niece Rani's orchestra recital. I am so proud of her musical abilities! Here are a few pics... The woman in glasses is her mother with her step-brother and the man is her father.

Olivia's Dance Recital

This past weekend was my cousin Olivia's dance recital. While the performances were good, the auditorium was steaming hot so we couldn't stay for the whole thing. But here some pictures of Olivia in her Hip Hop uniform! Too cute! She also had a jazz routine which I video taped but could only get one picture of her before she took her outfit off.

that Mave

just for laughs...

more recent stuff...

Now we've been married for six months and boy how time flies! Upon returning from our DREAM honeymoon to Disney - where else- we were met by Zoe's new boyfriend, Tiggers. He was a stray cat near Dad's house and the two of them just fell in love so we had to bring him home.

The two of them keep us busy. Zoe and I now live in Rick's condo which means we 'get' to walk her 3 times a day come rain, sleet... or severe heat waves. We have started remodeling, which I will post pics on later and last weekend Rick bought us a couple of fancy new (expensive) bikes. So we try to ride every day or at least 5 times a week. I think Rick will start riding to and from work since it's only 1.5 miles away. Riding is pretty fun and easy to do. When we get back from Florida, we will plan to have Rani spend the weekend with us and make a day of Memorial park. I don't have any pics of the bikes yet either but I do have a picture or two (hundred) of Miss Gwendolynn Page Zamorano! Ashley gave birth last week to a beautiful baby girl. She's so tiny and cute! Isabella flew down from Utah, her new home :( to spend the summer with us so we had a mini cousin reunion at Gamaw's house last week.

Our Wedding Day

Finally... our wedding day! December 9th, 2007. What can I say, it was awesome! It has sort-of a 40's flare. We asked everyone to wear white and to my surprise, they actually did! Mom slaved over the beautiful feather and beaded bouquets, corsages, and boutonnières. Rick's was the coolest because it had 3 small pictures of people in his life who had passed away, his father, his brother, and his dog Kendra. Mom also mastered all of the feather and beaded centerpieces. To my surprise, there was even a christmas tree of white feathers and one of peacock feathers, which we accented with. Everything looked so beautiful, thanks to everyone at Butler's Courtyard as well as my mom! Also thanks to Rick family and my family for being so supportive. It means a lot to us!

the Rehersal and Lunch

I'll skip right over the bachelor/bachelorette parties and go right to the wedding rehersal... ;) It was also at Butler's Courtyard. Everyone gathered to find out the duties of the following day. Then off we went to the rehersal lunch at the Golfcrest Countryclub, which was graciously hosted by Rick's mom, Janet, and step-father, Jim. What a beautiful place it was too! It was all decked out in christmas decorations and talk about the food... Yumm-O! Unfortunately, Dad videoed the whole rehersal and his battery died before we got to the lunch so I don't have any pictures of that. But I love the pic of Uncle Paul looking so somber that the 'bar is closed'! hehe

Estrella Photo

Our wedding photographer was sooooo good! Her name is Sarah Morris with Estrella Photo. www.estrellaphoto.com She even put some of our wedding photos on her website! Here is the link to all of our beautiful wedding photos she took: http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/thumbpage.aspx?e=3446381

(you do not have to 'log in'. just say 'continue')

These pictures are of my bridal shoot at Butler's Courtyard. They turned out sooo good!

Butler's Courtyard

So the wedding and reception took place at Butler's Courtyard in League City. www.butlerscourtyard.com I think this is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I have dreamed of getting married there since before it was even a wedding facility. PS. I'm so glad two wonderful ladies bought it and shared my vision! Here are some pictures of how beautiful this place is... Also, a big thanks to Dad for footing the bill! ;)

Bridesmaid Luncheon

To show my gratitude for my bridesmaids, mothers, and grandmother, I hosted a luncheon at a cute little tea room in Pasadena called the Silver Sycamore. I passed out gifts and got some fun gifts too! Then we all went to get our dresses fitted. I almost forgot about the Chocolate Bar afterward! Hey, a girl's gotta have her chocolate!

the 'Friends' Shower

Ashley is always trying to out-craft me (and usually succeeds!) This time she and the rest of the bridesmaids (Rani, Kate, and Amy) gave me the best Friends Shower imaginable! It was at Haak Winery, the closest Texas winery to us... they make my favorite best semi-sweet white wine. This shower was absolutely over the top! I could not believe all the details that she put into making this EVENT a huge success!

Isabella

sidebar...

My niece, Isabella, is soooo adorable! I had to show off these pictures I found of her at the Family Shower.

the 'Family' Shower

As my parents and I started planning the wedding, my Aunts planned a family wedding shower for Rick and I. It was very nice with a 40's theme that went along with the theme of the wedding. It was held at my Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Gregg's beautiful house in Santa Fe. Others who helped were Aunt Kitty, Aunt Debbie, and Gamaw. It was a brunch so there was some really amazing food! ... oh and the gifts...!!!
