Baby Alice UPDATE!

Baby Alice is home! YEAH! I'm not exactly sure what the illness was but Mom described it this way: She had pneumonia and the pediatrician prescribed medication cause her liver to fail, which caused Joandas (sp). But after about 3 weeks in the hospital, she is finally home! She can't have guests for 2 weeks but at least she is back with her family. Her brother, Liam, and sister, Rani, are finally able to spend time with her again. Rani loves her sister so much and is such a great help to her mother. Every time I call, Rani is feeding her or changing her diaper, or putting her to sleep... And when Rani is at Ashley's house, she has baby Gwenny in her lat at the computer where they both listen to music.

In other exciting news... (not-so-babyish) Isabella will be home on May 23rd!!! YEAH!!!

Baby Alice

For those of you who don't know, Rani's sister, Alice Leora Soape, has been in the ICU for the past two weeks. The doctors are unsure what is wrong but we should all pray for her that she recovers really soon. She is only 3 months old.

Uncle Wayne's Greenhouse

Yesterday It finally stopped raining! So I took Zoe to Mom and Dad's. We all worked at cleaning out Uncle Wayne's greenhouse and getting everything organized. It will take a while but I enjoy it. That is an awesome greenhouse! Lighting, running water, electricity, skylights... THE WORKS! Dad and his worker built it for Uncle Wayne. Yesterday we found a hybiscus that was blooming. I think it may be the most beautiful one I've ever seen. I think Uncle Wayne bought that plant for Maverick when he was born so she took it home to have Jason care for it.

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Day!

Mom has been upset about Uncle Wayne's passing so Dad wanted Ashley and I to take her to the spa. Of course, we had no exceptions to that! So I took off work and we three went to get mani/pedis, lunch, massages, haircuts and dyes and lots of shopping! We had a super-fun time!!! Thanks Dad! We love you!

Forever in our hearts…

When someone we love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Those who touch our loves, stay in our hearts forever.

Kenneth Wayne Muecke, Jr. passed away April 2, 2009 in Deer Park, Texas due to a heart attack. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on September 30, 1949 to parents Kenneth Muecke, Sr. and the late Mary Christine Zarnow Muecke. Step-mother, Norma Muecke, also claimed him as one of her own children. He graduated from South Houston High School with the class of ’68.

He was a taxi cab driver for many years but his true passion was gardening. One of his greatest delights was working in his greenhouse and manicuring the flowerbeds of his family members. Wayne was also a food enthusiast, admiring the flavors of many different pallets. Although he never had children, he treasured his nieces and nephews like no other. “Pops” ultimate joy was caring for them and tending to their every want.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Norma Muecke and Gene Morris, and by his loving siblings: Penni Bauer (and Bob), Johnny Muecke (and Renee), Kitty May (and Michael), Debbie, and Gregg Muecke (and Cynthia) and, of course, his many adored nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at Fairmont Funeral Home on Fairmont St. in Pasadena, Texas. There will be a remembrance gathering Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm followed by a funeral ceremony on Tuesday at 10:00 am. Burial services will follow at GrandView Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send donations in Wayne’s honor to the AIDS foundation and the American Cancer Society.
