A few days ago, Uncle Paul went into the hospital in Lakeworth. He had a high blood pressure reading and complained of chest pains. His heart doctor also noticed fluid around his heart. They kept him for two days but he was released today. I know his chest pain is gone and blood pressure is back to normal but I do not know if the fluid is gone around his heart. His heart doctor has his office across the street from Columbia hospital, where he was taken, which happens to be the hospital that he co-founded several years ago. Dad made sure all of the doctors and nurses knew that he was one of the original founders of that hospital and he consequently received excellent care. Many of the doctors and nurses even stopped by his room to thank him! I am just so relieved that he is out now and doing very well.

We spent this Independence Day at my Mom and Dad's house. We had a beautiful blue-eyed baby in red-white-and blue attire, flags, cousins, a Dalmatian, swimming, beer, fireworks, hamburgers, and sausage on a stick... how much more American can you get! Also, I can't forget my Zoe in a patriotic scarf, even though she's a Sibe. We all had a fantastic time!
